The Galleria Al Maryah Island Marks Major Milestone with First Anniversary Celebrations on 4 September

Abu Dhabi, 03 September 2020: The Galleria Al Maryah Island celebrates the first anniversary of its expansion on 4 and 5 September. The integrated approach to dining, entertainment and retail has resulted in over 20 million visitors choosing The Galleria as their lifestyle destination.

Building upon the incredible success of the Luxury Collection, The Galleria’s expansion has elevated the dining, entertainment and shopping landscape in the capital with the introduction of over forty brands not found anywhere else in the emirate. These include Books Kinokuniya, Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie Kids, Decathlon, American Rag Cie, Missguided, & Other Stories, United Furniture, Blaze Pizza, Raising Cane’s, and Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor.

Complementing the variety of first to market retailers are well-recognised high street fashion and lifestyle brands Zara, H&M, Debenhams, Centrepoint and Virgin Megastore, and Abu Dhabi’s largest homeware offering including Zara Home, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids, West Elm, 2XL Furniture and Home Décor, Ashley Homestore, Sophia Home and more.

Not to be outdone, The Galleria’s offering is further enriched by the established Luxury Collection, which houses 130 of the world’s most sought-after luxury fashion and high jewellery boutiques. In November 2019, Chanel joined the line-up of outstanding luxury maisons including Louis Vuitton, Prada, Cartier and Dior with more to be announced soon.

The Galleria is now firmly entrenched as the entertainment destination with unique experiences for the Abu Dhabi community. This includes the largest theatre in the emirate, a 21 screen VOX Cinemas with the capital’s only IMAX experience, three urban rooftop parks dedicated to sports, leisure and children’s activities and Al Maryah Island’s spectacular waterfront promenade. The unrivalled entertainment offer will be even further established with the introduction of first-to-the-region entertainment destination National Geographic Ultimate Explorer, and one of the world’s first ‘Mission Play! by Mattel’ destinations, taking children’s entertainment to a new dimension.

The Galleria is known for its unrivalled dining selection, which has now grown to cater to all members of the community. The established Dining Collection, comprising 16 award-winning restaurants along the island’s stunning waterfront promenade, includes Zuma, Coya, Nusr-Et, 99 Sushi Bar and LPM Restaurant. The addition of family favourites such as The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang’s, Asha’s and Texas Roadhouse extends dining to all occasions and tastes.

Central Kitchens offers diners the flavours of the world in a relaxed environment where the community can come together. Located in the atrium on level three, guests are invited to explore culinary flavours from restaurants such as Bombay Kitchen, Urban Wok, Spheerz sushi, Al Areesh, Raising Cane’s, Off the Hook and Blaze Pizza.

Close to the children’s park on level two, age old favourites like McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut are joined by Bikanervala and Charley’s Philly Steaks to provide a quick and convenient meal in the comfort of The Galleria’s food court.

To celebrate The Galleria’s milestone first anniversary, the community is invited to enjoy a special weekend of birthday offers, surprises and delights throughout 4 and 5 September.
