The one-off custom-built Rolls-Royce Drophead Pininfarina will be on display for the first time in a public space in the UAE

Speed enthusiasts in the capital can rejoice ahead of the Abu Dhabi’s racing season: a spectacular line-up of unique and high-performance automobiles with a total value of over AED 85 million will be making its way to The Galleria on Al Maryah Island from 16th to 24th November 2014 for the property’s inaugural Car Show in partnership with Al Ain Class Motors. The Car Show will be a public indoor and outdoor exhibition of seventeen cars from some of the world’s most renowned luxury brands such as Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Koenigsegg, available for eleven days. Charles Martinez, General Manager of The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, and VP of Gulf Related said: “Abu Dhabi’s residents have a fine taste for exclusive automobiles, exquisite designs, and powerful engines. While the city’s Grand Prix sees professionals on track, we offer our visitors the possibility to preview an unrivalled collection of cars that offer aficionados matching thrills in their daily life. This is a celebration not only of horsepower but of lifestyle experiences at their best.” With exclusive cars carefully chosen from the world’s most prestigious marques, The Galleria and Al Ain Class have put together a list of metal marvels set to get your heart pumping:

  • For admirers of true class, the vintage-inspired Rolls-Royce Drophead Pininfarina Hyperion will also be on display. A one-off custom-built car named after Hyperion, a Titan in Greek mythology, is a fitting name for this affluent yet powerful car. The opulent two-seater combines the luxury of the Rolls-Royce Coupe with the romanticism of 1930s car design, making this an unforgettable creation.
  • The Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir is another model lining itself up at the show and one of the exclusive 10 pieces produced. It is an engineering dream with gorgeous leather interiors, a high-gloss finish, 1001 horsepower and an impressive torque, striking the perfect balance between luxury and sporting.
  • One of the speedsters making an appearance is the limited-edition hybrid McLaren P1, with race-inspired technology and instant throttle response to provide supreme aerodynamic performance. This one of the rare 375 cars produced.
  • Those with a need for speed can feast their eyes on the latest Porsche 918 Spyder – a vociferous speed machine that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. While highly capable of leaving a trail of dust, this car won’t leave a gigantic carbon footprint as this hybrid automobile can also run in electric-only mode, with a battery pack that can be replenished while driving or by plugging the car in a 240V outlet for two hours.

The Galleria Car Show will have all the above iconic car models on display inside The Galleria on Al Maryah Island as well as on the promenade from November 16th to 24th.   For more information The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, please call: +971 2 6166 999.
