Dedicated to creating engaging lifestyle experiences, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island will kick off the National Day celebrations with visits from the social media phenomenon Bin Baz, Abdulazziz Baz. Renowned for his comedy-wrapped social media sketches, guests will have the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with the famed comedian on November 27 and 28 from 8 pm to 9 pm. Continuing to honour local talent and support Abu Dhabi’s lively arts scene, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island is also set to showcase two inspirational exhibitions. The innovative Emirati graphic designer, Fahad Jaber Abdulla, recipient of the 2008 Abu Dhabi Award for his project to revolutionize the use of mobile phones for the deaf and hearing-impaired, will display throughout the property his unique art pieces showcasing his talent as one of the UAE’s prominent artists. This wonderful collection can be found on Level 1 and will also be on display from December 1 – 7. The Exposed House, a brainchild of three creative UAE national siblings from Abu Dhabi aimed at providing a unique shopping experience to fashion enthusiast, will be celebrating its first anniversary at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island on December 2 and 3. This exclusive event will feature the collections of fashion forward brands that are available on TheExposedHouse.com, a live art installation hosted by Anood Obaidly, alumni of Zayed University and luxury delights from Godiva. The one-off custom-built Rolls-Royce Drophead Pininfarina will be on display for the first time in a public space in the UAE Abu Dhabi, 3 November 2014: Speed enthusiasts in the capital can rejoice ahead of the Abu Dhabi’s racing season: a spectacular line-up of unique and high-performance automobiles with a total value of over AED 85 million will be making its way to The Galleria on Al Maryah Island from 16th to 24th November 2014 for the property’s inaugural Car Show in partnership with Al Ain Class Motors. The Car Show will be a public indoor and outdoor exhibition of seventeen cars from some of the world’s most renowned luxury brands such as Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Koenigsegg, available for eleven days. A one-off custom-built car named after Hyperion, a Titan in Greek mythology, is a fitting name for this affluent yet powerful car. The opulent two-seater combines the luxury of the Rolls-Royce Coupe with the romanticism of 1930s car design, making this an unforgettable creation.
- The Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir is another model lining itself up at the show and one of the exclusive 10 pieces produced. It is an engineering dream with gorgeous leather interiors, a high-gloss finish, 1001 horsepower and an impressive torque, striking the perfect balance between luxury and sporting.
- One of the speedsters making an appearance is the limited-edition hybrid McLaren P1, with race-inspired technology and instant throttle response to provide supreme aerodynamic performance. This one of the rare 375 cars produced.
- Those with a need for speed can feast their eyes on the latest Porsche 918 Spyder - a vociferous speed machine that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. While highly capable of leaving a trail of dust, this car won’t leave a gigantic carbon footprint as this hybrid automobile can also run in electric-only mode, with a battery pack that can be replenished while driving or by plugging the car in a 240V outlet for two hours.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 8th October: From festive décor to ambassadors and exclusive fashion pieces, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier shopping and dining destination, will go pink throughout October to rally support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Extending the Breast Cancer Awareness theme into the retail offering, visitors will be able to redeem a limited edition bespoke Breast Cancer Awareness Month tote bag designed by the acclaimed Emirati artist, Ashwaq Abdulla. The one-of-a-kind tote bag features the shopping center’s official Breast Cancer Awareness logo along with a kind advice: “Let’s Go Check”. Those dedicated shoppers who qualify for a tote bag by spending AED 500 or more throughout October at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island can collect their Breast Cancer Awareness commemorative bag from the concierge desk located on Level 2.
