From festive décor to ambassadors and exclusive fashion pieces, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s premier shopping and dining destination, will go pink throughout October to rally support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Extending the Breast Cancer Awareness theme into the retail offering, visitors will be able to redeem a limited edition bespoke Breast Cancer Awareness Month tote bag designed by the acclaimed Emirati artist, Ashwaq Abdulla. The one-of-a-kind tote bag features the shopping center’s official Breast Cancer Awareness logo along with a kind advice: “Let’s Go Check”. Those dedicated shoppers who qualify for a tote bag by spending AED 500 or more throughout October at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island can collect their Breast Cancer Awareness commemorative bag from the concierge desk located on Level 2.

As well as designing the limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness Month tote bag, Ashwaq Abdulla will join Zahra Lari, the UAE’s first international competitive figure skater and Amal Al Aqrabi, Hospitality Manager at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, to ignite support for the cause amongst the local community. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the three ambassadors at the property on Friday 24th October at 4pm to learn about the cause and how they can support Breast Cancer Awareness Month themselves as well.

Echoing the signature trademark color of the cause, delicate hues of pink will adorn The Galleria on Al Maryah Island throughout the entire month to welcome guests to a Breast Cancer Awareness themed shopping and dining experience. Topping off the pink trim, splendid pink flower arrangements will line the property and The Great Room, while concierge staff will adorn supportive pink scarves and ties.

“The Galleria on Al Maryah Island is committed to nurturing exceptional causes like Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we support and encourage the local community to do the same”, said Charles Martinez, General Manager of The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, and VP of Gulf Related. “As part of our continued efforts, we are proud to support Breast Cancer Arabia, and demonstrate our unity to help raise awareness of such a worthy cause”.

The Galleria on Al Maryah Island is supported by Abu Dhabi Goes Pink, an awareness campaign organized by Breast Cancer Arabia for the 4thconsecutive year.

More exciting in-mall events will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
